If you enjoy a beverage every now and then, leave your money at home if you plan to do your consuming in a casino. I am serious. Clean out your handbag, your wallet, and leave all money, credit cards and checkbooks back at the hotel. Take whatever cash you expect to spend on alcohol, tips and whatever pocket change you intend to throw away and leave the rest behind.
Cynical? Not really. Just realistic. You might have a win following a boozy night out with your buddies and be blessed sufficiently to catch a long toss at a smokin craps game. Don’t forget that adventure seeing that it is as short-lived as it gets if you regularly consume alcohol and gamble. These activities simply don’t go well together.
Leaving your moolah back at the hotel is a bit excessive, but defensive actions for excessive behavior is compulsory. If you gamble to win, then don’t drink and bet. If you like to burn your assets without a worry, then consume all the gratis alcohol you can handle, but do not pack plastic credit and checks to toss into the mix of going after squanderings after your befuddled head squanders all the cash!
Allow me to take this one step more. Don’t drink alcohol and then hop online to wager in your preferred online casino either. I enjoy a beer from the coziness of my condominium, however seeing that I am linked up through Neteller, Firepay and have plastic credit near by, I can’t drink and bet.
Why? Even though I don’t drink alcohol to excess, when I consume alcohol, it is clearly adequate to cloud my common sense. I gamble, so I don’t drink alcohol when betting. If you are a drinker, do not gamble at the same time. The two mix up for a ferocious, and costly, drink.
